Two days is the ideal amount of time to see the best of Jardín: combining the charm of the heritage town with a couple of nature tours. This itinerary is designed for a well-planned weekend.
Day 1: the town and coffee culture
Morning
Start at Parque Principal El Libertador, the heart of Jardín, with its colorful tables and the imposing Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Have a coffee at one of the traditional cafés and stroll the streets lined with flower-filled balconies.
Midday
Take the Coffee Tour (3 hours, $120,000). You'll learn the whole "from seed to cup" process on a traditional farm, tasting included. It's easy and suitable for the whole family.
Afternoon
Ride the garrucha (a traditional cable car) up to a viewpoint to see the town from above. End the day with a traditional paisa dinner and an evening stroll around the square.
Day 2: nature and adventure
Option A — Immersive nature
Spend the morning at the Cave of Splendor (~5 hours, $90,000), Jardín's most famous attraction, with its waterfall that falls inside a cave. It's moderate and includes guide, transportation and entrance.
Option B — Adventure
If you prefer adrenaline, choose the Panoramic Jeep Tour ($120,000, 3 h), the Horseback Tour ($120,000, 3 h) or a buggy/ATV ride. All of them visit viewpoints and waterfalls in the area.
Afternoon
End with the sunset at the Cristo Rey Viewpoint or the Café Jardín Viewpoint, before heading back or enjoying one last night in town.
