Jardín is about 134 km from Medellín, in southwestern Antioquia. The trip takes 3 to 3.5 hours by road, and you can do it by bus, private car or private transportation. Here we explain all the options.
Option 1: by bus (the cheapest)
Direct buses to Jardín leave from the Terminal del Sur in Medellín several times a day (companies such as Rápido Ochoa). The trip takes about 3.5 hours and the fare is affordable (check the current fare at the ticket office). It's the best option for budget or solo travelers.
Option 2: by car (the most flexible)
If you drive your own vehicle, the most common and scenic route is Medellín → Bolombolo → Andes → Jardín. A car gives you the freedom to stop along the way and explore the countryside once you arrive. The town has public and private parking lots.
Option 3: private transportation (the most comfortable)

If you land at Rionegro airport (MDE), you can go to Medellín and take the bus at the Terminal del Sur, or book direct private transportation. Message us and we'll help you arrange the best option for your arrival time.
Can you visit Jardín as a day trip from Medellín?
It's possible, but very tight: the round trip adds up to 6-7 hours on the road. To really enjoy it, we recommend staying at least one night and following a 2-day itinerary.
