Filo de Oro ⛰️

Filo de Oro is one of the most complete hikes you can do in Jardín: a route along the Camino de la Herrera, an ancestral trail connecting rural villages, waterfalls, and viewpoints with 360° views over the mountains of southwestern Antioquia. Along the way you'll pass the Cascada del Amor waterfall, cross the Río Volcanes, and reach the Filo de Oro viewpoint, one of the most photographed spots in the region.

Hummingbird sightings are common along the trail, and at the end of the hike you descend into Jardín on a garrucha — a traditional cable car — while enjoying a typical passion fruit (gulupa) dessert. It's a medium-difficulty tour, ideal for those who want to combine nature, history, and a calm dose of adrenaline.
